POLICE Department

It is often seen that we handle our problems on our own. An out of court settlement when it is a case, but even an out of Police Station settlement is not a bad idea when we think of it.

Lost you mobile? Never going to find it. No point in filing a case.
Lost you wallet? Who do you think has time to look for a wallet? Forget it
Lost clothes from you hostel room? Was it UCB or Reebok? None? Then let it be... get a new one.
An unknown person got into your house today? Oh! The door was open? Is anything missing? Thank God!

These little ignorance teach us how not to approach Police and we as Indians are very good at learning and applying when it comes to such things and we apply it here..

Someone was following you back home today? Oh, be careful.
Those guys were eve-teasing you? I think you should change you route?
They have now reached our gates. Let it be. Don't go to the Police. Police is not going to be of any help. On the contrary, they will add to the trouble and these guys will trouble us even more.

Alas!

They raped her? Don't tell anybody. Not even the Police. They'll not let her live.

Are we ashamed when we are a victim to an earthquake? Are we ashamed when we are a victim to a tsunami? Are we shamed when we are a victim to a flood? Are we ashamed when we are a victim of a robbery? Is anyone ashamed if a member of their family is murdered? Then why are people ashamed if someone is raped? One is still a victim. A criminal needs to be ashamed of being unethical and performing an illegal act.

We don't approach the Police for anything and this way we only encourage the wrong doers.

Now the point would be, Police doesn't do anything. So, my question is, have we tried? Even if we have and have been disappointed in past, it must have been a case or two. In that case do we try to approach another Policeman or another station? They are here to help us, but if we don't help ourselves, why would anybody else?

As they say, "help us, to help you". We need to get some notions out of our minds. A person or two might begin but any revolution requires a mass. When we go for interviews, we always chose to say we are leaders and possess great leadership qualities. But are we really leaders? If yes, please take a step. Be a leader because a leader doesn't need other to begin.

A whole generation has to go in if there has to be a radical change. If policemen are not helping you, make them help you. Watching it in movies feels good when a hero or heroine triggers that sense of duty in a policeman and he is bound to do his duties. Why don't we then try to bring that change?

How important are my relatives?

I'm surprised to see that people are still stuck to religion, caste, region... when it comes to getting married... They say you are respected well if you marry within your caste. So will these people also stand by me through my difficult times? No... Just for a fake respect or disrespect I'm ready to sacrifice on my love. Wow!
My parents love me... they'll understand me and my love... If not today, someday I will be accepted by them... So am I ready to ruin my life for a bunch of jobless neighbours and relatives? If yes, I need to ask myself, am I really in love? Probably it's not the society, it's I...
A respect to all those who have the courage to fight the society for their love. They've come to be humans rather than Hindus and Muslims, Brahmins and Dalits, North Indians and South Indians.... I know a few of them on my friends list and I am proud to have those brave hearts there.

Reflection

Reflection
You are desirable.
I wondered why every reflection of mine,
Desires a reflection of Yours;
Unaware of the fact,
 that they are mere shadows and not reflections;
You are so unique that You cannot be replicated,

even in a reflection.

The Idea of God

The Idea of God

The idea of God for me,
Has never been distinct from You;

You have chanted His name,
Once in the day,
Once in the night;

I have grown to see Him in You,

You are not His reflection,
But He is You,
And You is He;

The day which marked your arrival,
Now marks your departure,
The hundred years which do them apart
Is not all that You have left behind
But hundreds of Me

For whom You are Thee.

I Miss You

I Miss You

I don’t remember a day I’ve spent without you;
Hand in hand, every time, that I walked with you;
You called me pretty when I wanted to feel pretty;
And I know you were genuine, when I looked into your eye;
I depended on you for everything;
You paid my bills;
You took responsibility of every little thing I had;
I felt complete when you walked with me;
I felt proud of having you by my side;
May be tomorrow someone will replace you;
But I will miss you;

Oh my dear purse, how much I miss you..

I am a Feminist

I am a feminist, but that doesn't mean I hate men. That doesn't mean I would not cook at home or would not do any household chores. It does not mean that I will refuse to look after my in-laws. It doesn't even mean that I hate babies and feel it a larger burden on me than my guy.
I am a feminist. I'll cook, but out of love and care, not as my duty. I hate it being taken for granted. I don't mind house hold chores, but I'd look forward to someone saying "we'll do it together". I'll take care of my in-laws, but not at the cost of ignoring my parents. I love babies, but would appreciate if my counterpart likes them too and shares the responsibilities equally.
Being a feminist is not being against men, but being proud of being a woman.
