The Idea of God
The idea of God for
me,
Has never been
distinct from You;
You have chanted His
name,
Once in the day,
Once in the night;
I have grown to see
Him in You,
You are not His
reflection,
But He is You,
And You is He;
The day which marked your
arrival,
Now marks your
departure,
The hundred years
which do them apart
Is not all that You
have left behind
But hundreds of Me
For whom You are
Thee.
