India is a country with a number of people, and here, believing in God, having faith in Him and depending on Him for every little or big thing we want/need is a common scenario. God is the only solution we find when we are in a real mess. What do we do? Go to a temple, mosque, church or gurudwara and worship the creator.
Now the question is, why is there so much confusion? My religion determines which God will solve my problem! Here comes in the 2 concepts of God, the one who created us and the one we created.
Asking questions is forbidden when it comes to God, to religion. Why? Why are some rituals to be followed the way they are, without any questions?
The concept of, 'do this to please God'; 'do that or He'll be angry'... Don't they sound baseless? If God created us and we are His children, why would He want to trouble us? Will he not understand us they way our parents do?
We forget we are human and we have created the Gods and religions we follow today. God is one.
Through religion people claim to be protecting humanity... Are they sure of it? If they are, then why is religion one of the topics which is avoided by most of the speakers and presenters? If religion relates you to God, brings you closer to Him, you wouldn't get aggressive about it.
There are also a few who go out and do a lot of social work, make donations, give alms, because they feel this is the way they are closer to God... Fair enough! But how well do they treat people around them, who are not downtrodden?
God has created us as one. He would not differentiate between us. In times of trouble, if God was to arrive on this Earth, Allah would not select Muslims and protect only them or Jesus would not leave out the Hindus because the Hindus never went to a Church on Sundays.
Let us not cause grief to God be fighting over religion. Let religion only be a way to learn how to be good humans. Let's accept each other without any differentiation.

It is true.... we are human and we have created the Gods and religions and finally we get so bogged down in "pleasing the God" that we end up harming others.
